    @z34gtpz28 it certainly seems that way to me. I just like how he does the unboxing with a whole lot of happiness and rainbow filled goodness. Asking never hurts.

    @SoCalDude805 or send it to a third world country.

    @PenguinRecordings i agree, but he’s pro intel can’t you tell?

    I need a recommendation on what thermal compound to buy.

    AMD Phenom II x4 965 C3 (stock), CM Hypert TX3.

    So?

  10. SoCalDude805 says:

    If you’re system is 8 years old, it belongs in the recycle center lol.

    @royaldragonfire Yes, sometimes it works better without TIM… if you apply it the wrong way… or if you have absolutely perfect mirror finish in CPU and absolutely perfect mirror finish in cooler base- which is near to imposible.

    Physics facts: there will be (we need to assume that) air between CPU and cooler. And air is a very bad thermal conductor. Replacing that air bubbles will be always better (well, not always, but it’s ‘quite’ hard to find a TIM with less thermal conductivity than air)

  12. royaldragonfire says:

    Erm, thermal paste is not absolutely necicarry, sometimes it works better without it.

    @TheMcMichael15 listen to what he says @ 3:00 “recommended for CPU/GPU”

  14. TheMcMichael15 says:

    is it any good for GPU?

    @ryuchanlee
    Its kinda funny, in some cases of the redringofdeath, it helps to put some pennys (or cooper in general) + thermal paste on the chips that heat up (;

  16. athlonz2007 says:

    I ordered this today!

  17. ryuchanlee says:

    OMG! Just imagine using this on a Xbox 360!

    @25magus Who is the lucky girl?

  19. Malius1000 says:

    @andrevideosrawsme ohhh and I forgot to mention every cpu is different so any cpu vs cpu comparison is inaccurate unless you have lotrs of each type

  20. Malius1000 says:

    @andrevideosrawsme -_- indeed which means the 950 has a heavier OC because it has a lower stock frequency, not only that but the 950 at 4Ghz is faster in general than the 1090t. And most importantly it’s ridiculous to make comparisons like that because proccesors handle heat loads differently. You can boil an egg on a 480gtx and it’ll still work fine, a 5970 would’nt enjoy those temps that much though.

  21. turtlechickenfactor says:

    I just use tooth paste.

    Linus can you do a video about aftermarket chipset cooling?
